Matt is ACCA and AAT qualified, with more than 15 years experience in accountancy that he gained working in local practices.
He joined Haines Watts in 2015 as a senior accountant and after 18 months was promoted to manager, with a wide range of internal and external responsibilities.
Key strengths include working with larger owner-managed businesses to help them understand the financial performance of their company, and assisting them to prepare for expansion with detailed forecasts and planning.
What do you enjoy most about your job? I find nothing more rewarding than building long lasting relationships with clients and becoming a trusted advisor and problem solver.
If I wasn't doing this I'd be: Pursuing a career connected to martial arts, either trying to make it as a competitor (if youth was on my side!), opening my own gym or finding another way to be involved in sport.
Favourite Sport: Mixed Martial Arts and Muay Thai (Thai-boxing)
