Haines Watts move into new custom-designed office in Leeds city centre

Leading accountancy and business advisory firm Haines Watts have marked the turn of the new financial year with a move into a new, custom-designed office in Leeds city centre.

The relocation from Meanwood Road to 56 Wellington Street comes as part of the firm’s growth journey, placing them closer to businesses and universities which they work alongside, as well as the city’s network of transport links.

The transformational move will give the Leeds team a workspace which is fit for the future as they continue to support owner managers across the Yorkshire region, whilst welcoming more new recruits to the team.
Occupying the whole third floor, the 2,247 square foot workspace is within a Grade II listed building which has recently undergone a comprehensive refurbishment. With nods to the Leeds community and state-of-the art furniture and technology the refurbishment has still retained the original period features of the building.

Speaking on the new office, Managing Partner, James Sutton said: “We’re delighted to have moved into our new home in Leeds city centre. Leeds is a truly amazing place to be doing business, and always has been, with some really interesting businesses starting up and continuing to grow in our region. We’re excited to be amongst this and continue to support these businesses now that we’re based in the heart of the city.

“We set out to create a space where our team love coming to work and clients love to come and visit. The new office really encapsulates this, whilst also reflecting our values and culture as a business, putting collaborative and agile working at the heart of everything we do.

“The office move comes at a really exciting time for us as a business. We have more team members joining our accredited talent development programme; we’re gearing up to welcome the next cohort of placement students through our ongoing work with the local universities and later this year we will be welcoming more team members through our national trainee programme.”

“We can’t wait to welcome clients and new team members alike into our new home and we’re all looking forward to seeing what the year ahead brings.”

The team at Haines Watts worked closely with Fox Lloyd Jones, Schofield Sweeney and Building Interiors to bring the office to life. Speaking on the project, Jeremy Poole Director at Building Interiors said: “This project has been an absolute pleasure for our team to work on. Collaborating closely with Haines Watts, we were able to combine our expertise and ideas to create a truly unique space that perfectly met their needs.

“Right from the start, we recognised the importance of preserving the building's character and style. This became a key driving factor in our design concept, which aimed to deliver an elegant and functional office space that would grow with our client's needs.”
