Social Media?

I’m often accused of living in the dark ages when it comes to technology.  I recently confessed to watching ‘This could go anywhere’ in the office.  This raised hoots of laughter!  But that’s on Netflix and you don’t do IT! Came the response from one of our team.

This may be true – I don’t do Facebook, Metaverse, Linked In and the like. I do face to face meetings and discuss issues with clients and professionals alike. 

We are very much a people business.  In the last two years of ‘Covid confiscation lockdown’ it has become very apparent that we in the human race are social animals, we like contact with others.

We sadly live in a society where we can’t live without our phones and we only communicate ‘on-line’ (or at least those of a certain age do!).  I was shocked to hear recently that one organisation said that now that lock down was over they were having to ‘deal’ with clients that wanted to come to see them rather than have virtual contact and what an issue that is!

I am very pleased to say that at Haines Watts, our team in Launceston come to see you, shake your hand, and listen to you talk about your business and interest and we discuss matters with you face to face.

This has got to be better than sitting in an office staring at a screen.
