Challenge Complete !!

In September 2021 as part of our Haines Watts Values programme we decided to host an event to bring all offices together to work as team to support each other and the community.

We don’t have any peaks in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex but we do have beaches so the 3 beach challenge was born!

The concept focus’s around Valuing Relationships, with each other, colleagues and clients and also the wider community and environment.

For three consecutive days, the same as the famous 3 peak challenge, our teams will meet at 3 different beaches and collect litter and rubbish from the beaches and surrounding areas. The event will run from approx. 1.30pm to 4.30pm with a well earned fish and chip supper for everyone afterwards.

Representatives from all the offices will attend and work with each other. The challenge is to collect as much litter as possible from the beaches, working together to achieve one goal.

The beaches we will visit will be

  • Cromer on the 7th June - Completed - 10kgs
  • Gorleston-on-Sea on the 8th June - Completed 20.8 Kgs
  • Clacton-on-Sea on the 9th June - Completed 21Kgs

At the end of each event we will weigh our rubbish to find out just how much we have collected and liaise with the council regarding collection.

We will keep our social media channels updated as the events are completed and let everyone know just how much rubbish we collected.

World Oceans Day is on Wednesday 8th June with events around the country. You can find out more here.

Update:

We were fortunate with brilliant weather for all 3 of our beach events. We collect over 50kgs of waste from the 3 beaches including discarded clothing, glass, metal and of course plastic.
