After graduating in 1997 with a BSc (Hons) in Computing and Artificial Intelligence, Stuart spent three years developing software for Shell. He then worked in New Zealand on web software solutions for six months and upon his return spent a year developing software for blue chip companies in Birmingham. In 2002 Stuart joined The Priory Partnership (now Haines Watts) and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2006. He was appointed as director in 2009.
Stuart specialises in owner managed businesses, accounts, tax, accounts software packages and Excel.
Outside work: Stuart spends his time either with his family or out on the golf course.
Vikki joined Haines Watts in 2005 from Grant Thornton. She is a qualified accountant with over 17 years general practice experience. She works with a wide range of individuals and owner managed businesses in many sectors operating throughout the UK.
Her aim is to understand a business and identify the personal goals of business owners to advise them in ways they understand. She will not only ensure they meet their statutory requirements but in addition, save tax and assist to grow and improve the value of their business & personal wealth.
In her spare time Vikki enjoys spending time with her family, visiting new and exciting places, reading lots of books & eating out with a nice glass of wine.
Frank qualified with Deloitte Haskins and Sells, (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and has over 30 years of experience in general practice. Frank joined Haines Watts as a Partner in 1996 and is now responsible for a diverse portfolio of clients, including owner managed businesses, professional partnerships, large charitable organisations and wealthy individuals.
Frank believes that by being proactive in his approach, which is both practical and pragmatic, his clients can, and indeed do, gain a competitive advantage to develop and strengthen their business.
Frank acts as a non executive finance director for a number of clients, ensuring that they have timely, up to date advice on all business matters. Frank spends much of his time on a day to day basis, meeting with and speaking to his clients and provides a hands on, shirt sleeves approach.
Frank was president of the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants for the period 2005/2006.
Outside of work Frank enjoys family holidays and generally playing chauffeur to his two sons, who seem to have a better social life than he does! He is a keen Liverpool supporter and enjoys watching many sports. He appreciates a nice glass of red wine, as well as enjoying the occasional beer with his friends.
Mike has over 30 years’ experience of working within the industry and has worked in a variety of national, regional and independent practices, having first qualified with KPMG. He became a Haines Watts Director in 2011. Mike aims to provide a pro-active, “hands-on” approach. He has the breadth of experience to advise clients on all aspects of taxation and regulatory matters. By considering all aspects of direct and indirect taxes, Mike aims to mitigate the overall tax position for clients. Some of Mike’s recent projects include, assisting clients in grant funding applications, acquisitions & business restructuring, succession planning & exit strategies and business plans incorporating financial projections. He specialises in advising owner managed businesses, on all aspects of business. He has worked with a variety of different sectors including, solicitors, retail sector, transport & haulage activities, manufacturers and related service activities, agricultural sector, charities and not for profit sector. Mike is Chair of Governors at a local school, is involved in supporting local charities and enjoys cycling.
Dave qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1993 and has specialised in taxation ever since then. Having worked mainly in the owner managed business sector, he specialises in tax planning for owner-managed businesses and HNWI’s, including remuneration planning, R&D Tax Credits, CGT, IHT, succession planning and corporate restructuring, and business acquisitions and disposals. In addition to tax planning and advisory work, he also deals with a wide variety of Tax Investigations, including specialist investigations and Code of Practice 9 cases. He enjoys the diversity of work arising from the owner managed business sector and the challenge of providing proactive tax planning solutions that clients value and appreciate. Outside of work, Dave is a keen Aston Villa supporter and a music fan and guitarist. He has also been known to appreciate a glass or two of red wine, or a fine real ale.
Andrew qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 with Henry R Davis & Co and became a partner in 1995. After the amalgamation with The Priory Partnership now Haines Watts) in 2002, in which he became a partner. He acts for a wide range of clients and specialises in providing accountancy and tax planning services.
Outside work: Andrew has two children and enjoys most sports, being a keen tennis and squash enthusiast, playing both sports for local teams.
Steve has worked in taxation for over thirty five years. He joined the HM Revenue & Customs when he was nineteen on a self-employed section. Steve qualified and became a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians in 1999. He deals with all aspects of direct taxation compliance, HMRC enquiries and investigations, he also advises clients on tax mitigation.
Outside work: Steve is married to Diane and has two children, Jenny and John. They live in a village called Silverdale, which is on the North Lancs / Cumbria border. Steve enjoys hillwalking in The Lakes and travelling to places further afield.
Jacqui joined Stubbs Parkin Cotter, one of the original four firms that merged to become The Priory Partnership (now Haines Watts) in 1985. She has worked in the tax department for over ten years and is a fully qualified member of the Association of Taxation Technicians. In her promotion to Tax Manager, Jacqui has responsibility for direct taxation compliance and advises clients on tax mitigation.
Outside work: Jacqui lives locally with her husband Dean and two children, Lee and Holly. She enjoys reading, long walks and spending time with her family.
After leaving grammar school in 1972, Ian joined Henry R Davis & Co as an articled clerk. He part qualified as a Chartered Accountant and was one of the first members of the Association of Accounting Technicians when it was formed in 1980. Ian is experienced in all aspects of small and medium business accounts and taxation, especially with regards to the agricultural community.
Outside work: Ian lives on the outskirts of Chester and considers himself to be a true Cestrian as he was born within the city walls. He is a keen motorcyclist and in the last three years has managed to travel over 15,000 miles, in the UK and Europe, on his 2015 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited.
Julie joined Avison & Harrocks, one of the original four firms that merged to become The Priory Partnership, in 1987. She has worked at The Priory ( now Haines Watts) since the partnership formed in 1996, working full-time in our reception. She enjoys the variety of tasks her job entails and especially enjoys that initial contact with the clients. Julie's daughter, Alex, also works at The Priory, based in our Payroll department.
Outside work: Julie enjoys spending time with her family and her beautiful grandchildren, when time allows she enjoys the countryside, gardening and swimming.
Allie has recently joined the Haines Watts Wirral Team in November 2018, as Office Manager. Having previously worked in the freight forwarding industry, Allie has brought along her experience in customer service and credit control as well as a thorough and organized approach to her work. She is very excited for this new chapter and looks forward to her future in the Haines Watts team.
Outside of work, Allie loves going out for meals as often as possible with her husband Ian - as well as a night in with a bottle of red! She also loves travelling and taking in different cultures, going on holidays here, there and everywhere.
