Capital Allowances tax relief’s a misunderstood relief which essentially allows the owner of a property to offset the hidden expenditure in their building. Generally, this includes items of qualifying plant & machinery such as air conditioning, heating and ventilation, fixed wiring, lighting and security access systems amongst others. Fundamentally, they’re items that are a fixed part of the building and was either in situ on purchase, or installed as part of refurbishment or fit out projects you’ve undertaken.
