A Successful Collaboration at the Leicester Business Festival 2023

The East Midlands business community is buzzing with the success of the recent Leicester Business Festival.  Haines Watts Leicester and Tilney for Haines Watts partnered to host an event on 9th November.  The event a collaboration between Haines Watts, and Tilney, was one of 70 events taking place during this year’s festival.

A Festival for Business Growth

The Leicester Business Festival, now in its ninth year, is an annual fortnight of business events held across Leicester and Leicestershire.  It has grown to become the region's largest business event and one of the U.K.'s largest business festivals. 

Haines Watts Leicester’s Contribution

This year, Haines Watts Leicester, worked alongside the festival to support local business owners and the economy in Leicestershire by offering a free Business Essentials Event. 

A Well-Attended Event

The event was well-attended, with a diverse mix of business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals from across the East Midlands. Running from 10 am to 12 pm, it was aimed at current SME business owners and those planning on starting a business.

The main speaker, Shazin Tayub, Director of Haines Watts Leicester, shared his insights and reflections on the event. “The Leicester Business Festival is a fantastic platform for businesses to learn, share, and grow. Our event, in collaboration with Tilney, was aimed at providing valuable insights into business growth strategies, tax efficient corporate structures and R&D  Tax Relief claims”.

Highlighting the importance of such events, he added, “It was inspiring to see so many business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals from across the East Midlands come together. Events like these not only provide valuable insights but also foster a sense of community. It’s clear that the region is on a strong path to economic recovery and growth.”

A Stylish Venue

The event took place in the stylish and well-equipped conference rooms of 1 Richmond Street, DMU, centrally located in Leicester.  1 Richmond Street, is a newly refurbished Grade II listed, Georgian Townhouse which has been converted into a stunning conference and hospitality suite. Built in 1850 it provides an elegant blend of period features and state-of-the-art facilities, the perfect backdrop for this Leicester Business festival event.

A Resounding Success

The collaboration between Haines Watts and Tilney was a resounding success, contributing to the overall success of the Leicester Business Festival this year.
