The New Free Trade Agreement

Since January 1st, 2021 the United Kingdom and the European Union agreed to an unprecedented 100% tariff liberalisation. The Agreement establishes zero tariffs or quotas on trade between the UK and the EU, where goods meet the relevant rules of origin. This is the first time the EU has agreed a zero tariff zero quota deal with any other trading partner. Supporting the agreement is a detailed guide on the rules of origin requirements under the Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA), explaining the most important provisions which businesses need to understand and comply with in order to ensure that you pay zero tariffs when trading with the EU.
