Haines Watts continues ambitious growth plan with acquisition of London firm

The Finchley office of business advisors, Haines Watts, is delighted to announce their acquisition of Stern, which will relocate to Finchley over a period of time. The deal is another step in Haines Watts’s growth strategy for the greater London/M25 region and reinforces the firm’s commitment to providing a wide range of services and specialist capabilities to progressive business owners.

The combined practices will be led by Amilios Costa, Managing Partner of the Haines Watts Finchley office who comments: “I am delighted to welcome the team from Stern on board. We share a passion for working with business owners and a commitment to building close long-term relationships with clients. Being aligned around the same values give us a strong platform from which to grow and establish our position as the ‘go to’ advisors for aspirational business owners in the local market place.”

Michael Davidson, Regional Managing Partner of Haines Watts adds: “Stern has a strong stable of business owner clients and by bringing the Haines Watts suite of advisory services to them we believe we can support them in achieving their aspirations with the increased ‘speed and certainty’ that current Haines Watts clients value.”

George Stern, Managing Director of Stern, who remains with the firm in an advisory role says: “the acquisition will ensure that we continue to offer our clients a personal service and also enables our clients to take advantage of specialist services covering areas such as mergers and acquisitions, business law and advisory support on matters like operational improvement, management development and strategic planning. Haines Watts is a great fit for our clients and staff and we look forward to the next chapter.”

Costa concludes: “this is a very exciting time at Haines Watts and we are optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead for our firm, staff and clients.”
