George supports and advises businesses owners and managers at all stages on the business lifecycle. He focuses on operational improvement, business restructuring, and strategic, tax, and succession planning.
George has industry expertise in property (developers, investors & related trades), professional services and the financial services sector.
Outside of work, he spends time with his young family, and tries to fit in time on the water, or in the mountains.
My main objective when working with business owners is to simplify and solve the great variety of problems and challenges they face.
If I wasn't doing this I'd be: in the mountains - skiing down or cycling back up.

Dream location: the Alps, Provence or somewhere in between.
Jodie works with a wide range of start-ups and owner managed businesses advising them on a variety of financial and commercial matters, which can include system improvements and use of digital accounting packages.
Jodie established and ran her own successful practice from 2012, oversaw its merger with another, then joined Haines Watts in 2020. Outside of the office Jodie set up a serviced accommodation business, scaling up the business quickly; she says the secret to its success is having a great team.
Jodie enjoys spending time with her family, walking and running when she finds the time. She's quite proud to have completed the Paris Marathon in a fairly quick time!
I love developing deep relationsip with clients and helping them navigate through their business challenges.
If I wasn't doing this I'd be: running marathons or embarking on long countryside walks.

David has been a tax partner at Haines Watts in Oxford since 1993. He advises owner-managed businesses and other organisations on both corporate and personal taxation matters.
His specialises in advising on the complexities of capital taxation and maximising the use of tax relief and allowances for his clients. David is a member of the Institute of Taxation and has written articles for a number of professional journals and publications.
He is an enthusiastic music fan and enjoys most forms of sport, particularly Rugby Union and Formula 1.
I enjoy the process of developing a deep understanding of client's business plans and objectives. This way you can ensure tax efficiency throughout the lifecyle of the business and beyond.

Rodney has particular expertise in advising business owners on tax strategies, business planning, and the development and implementation of exit strategies. He has been with Haines Watts in Oxford since 1985.
Rodney is a non executive director of several companies including an information business, a property company and a quoted company. He is also an investor in some of them.
When not horse riding, he enjoys getting involved in many exciting outdoor activities. Previous adventures include Red Sea diving in Egypt, white water rafting down the Zambezi and bungee jumping from the Victoria Falls Bridge.
I get great satisfaction from helping business owners find solutions to problems that they know they have as well as those that they don't yet know about!
If I wasn't doing this I'd be: motorbiking, sailing, walking, riding, skiing or playing tennis.
Favourite hobby: sailing in the Caribbean or skiing in the Alps.

Sarah has over a decade of experience providing VAT advice to SME’s. She supports clients with all aspects of VAT, from day to day compliance to the VAT implications of specific projects.
Sarah covers a wide range of VAT issues including cross border transactions, land & property transactions (including the construction industry) and partial exemption. Her extensive knowledge across multiple industries ensures that any VAT advice is tailor made for your business.
I’m a strong advocate of giving clear advice, converting VAT legislation into understandable information and helping business owners who are struggling to interpret the ever expanding, complex rules!
