The start of the new football season in August gives you an opportunity to show your skill in forecasting the top 3 teams in the Premiership and the Football League.
All you have to do is select 3 teams for each division. Scores will be the total number of league points earned by your teams (after any points deductions) with the winner being the competitor with the highest score. If two competitors finish level on points, the total of goal difference of their selections will be added up, and this will be used as an initial tie-breaker.
In the event that there have been identical selections the additional tie-breaker included at the top of the form will be used, being an estimate of the total goals scored in the Premier League during the season.
The winner will receive a trophy to keep and will receive a prize of a meal for two at a City Centre restaurant. There will be runners-up prizes for competitors finishing 2nd and 3rd.
Each month we will also present a bottle of wine to the entrant whose team selection has been the most successful in the month, so you can still win even if you are not in the top three.
