We developed our academy in 2014 to create a virtual place for introducing modular development programmes to compliment our existing technical training and development options.

Haines Watts Academy takes training and learning and development to a new level:  from Haines Watts perspective it offers a range of modular learning options which allow our team to understand how best to use their technical skills, how to better understand themselves and those they work with, and to practise these skills for the benefit of our clients and the wider business.  From the individuals perspective it gives them a rounded programme of improvement where they meet and work with colleagues from around the UK and that set them in good stead for their future career. 

Within our Academy we have:

Partner & Director development programme

We run a variety of externally facilitated workshops for our business leaders to help them stay at their best and further develop their business and personal development skills.  We love that we have a culture where ideas are welcomed from everyone and where continual learning is something that everyone takes an active part in.

Leadership Development Programme

Our Leadership Development Programme (LDP) provides a challenging, aspirational programme that gives future Haines Watts leaders a consistent, fantastic set of skills and opportunity to develop. We believe it helps Haines Watts stand out as an organisation offering a new and innovative approach to leadership development. The programme is purposely designed to help identify and develop an individuals’ skills and talent to support them become better leaders, and by leaders we mean anyone who is identified as being able to add value in a senior role in their business.

This is not just about leading people, it’s about the influence and impact we have on the people we work with and that may be a team, clients, peers and those we work for. 

The programme runs for two years and includes four residential modules along with coaching support and we work in partnership with The Leadership Trust in Ross on Wye on this programme.

We are incredibly proud to have been shortlisted for the best Leadership Development Programme in the 2017 CIPD Awards.

Managers Skills Programme

Our newest modular programme has been designed to develop practical and commercial skills of high potential team members – those who would benefit from management and commercial skills and who are likely to develop into an enhanced role in within the next 1-3 years. This programme begins on 1st September and includes seven modules over an 18 month period. We work with Mast Training to deliver this programme.
