Major financial award for Haines Watts
Haines Watts Group has been awarded the title of “Auditor of the Year to SMEs” in the national FDs’ Excellence Awards organised by Real Business in association with ICAEW, the national accountancy body.
The awards are the biggest national programme celebrating excellence in financial management and use the results of an annual satisfaction survey of more than 1,170 UK chief financial officers, financial directors and senior financial-decision makers who rank theirauditors, banks, financial software providers and recruitment agencies.
The awards, held at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, saw Haines Watts pick up the prize for best auditor to SMEs in an event which included a keynote speech from Mark Hoban MP, financial secretary to the Treasury.
Darren Holdway, a partner at the Birmingham office of Haines Watts, said he was delighted the firm had been honoured in this way.
"Our core client base is owner managed businesses and small and medium sized enterprises and so to get this endorsement means a great deal to us," said Mr Holdway.
“To pick up an award of this stature, based on client commentary in the largest survey of its kind for UK organisations, is just about the best form of endorsement we could get – and to know we were up against some formidable competition is even more gratifying,” he said.
