HW Accountants, Leicester are pleased to announce the appointment of a new Associate
They are joined by Richard Buckby, who trained with Thomas May & Co., before qualifying in 2007. He subsequently worked with Clifford Roberts, Chartered Accountants, in Northampton, where he was Audit and Accounts Manager. After a brief spell in industry Richard now returns to the profession and to his home town to assist in the further development of Haines Watts’ growing reputation.
Managing Partner Sanjay Khullar said that he is “delighted to announce the appointment” which he sees as “a significant step – strengthening the Leicester team” enabling them “to further consolidate and enhance their reputation, offering professional accountancy services and business advice to local businesses”.

Richard is relishes, both, the opportunity and the challenges that the new appointment will bring, he said “To be offered this position at this stage in my career is both exciting and daunting. Working day to day on all aspects of the further development and growth of HW and be influential in future strategic planning is a challenge that I look forward to immensely” adding “Sanjay Khullar is well known and respected within the business and commercial community of the area and I look forward to working closely with him and the rest of the Leicester team”.
He feels that his previous experience both in the profession and with the more recent spell in industry means that he is well suited to continue to offer clients, new and old, the standard of service and support that HW are renowned for both locally and nationally. “The combination of the experience of the local team and the strength in depth available from within the national organisation is unique” he commented.
When not working, Richard enjoys spending quality time with his family. With his wife Stacey, who he met at university, he has two young sons, Ben and Harry. When time allows he relaxes running and playing drums in a group comprised of old school friends.
