March 2010

19th: PAYE/NIC due for month to 5 March 2010.

31st: Filing date for Corporation Tax Return Form CT600 for period ended 31 March 2009.

Last minute planning for tax free investments. Make sure you use your ISA allowances.

Last minute planning for the tax year 2009/10. Make sure you use any capital gains tax and inheritance tax annual exemptions.

End of CT61 quarterly period.

End of Corporation Tax financial year.


April 2010

1st: Due date for payment of CT for period ended 30 June 2009

14th: Due date for income tax for the CT61 period to 31 March 2010.

19th: Quarter 4 2009/10 PAYE and CIS remittance due for small employees and contractors, including any balance of 2008/09 PAYE/NI

20th: Interest will begin to accrue on unpaid PAYE/NI for 2009/10 (if not paid electronically).

30th: Filing date for Corporation Tax Return Form CT600 for period ended 30 April 2009.

Normal annual adjustment for VAT partial exemption calculations (monthly returns).

Use your ISA investment limit

Ensure you have used your maximum ISA Allowance before 5th April 2010. For anyone who will be 50 or over on 5th April 2010 the overall ISA limits have increased (from October 2009) to £10,200.

For all other eligible ISA customers the current limit of £7,200 still applies but this will increase to £10,200 on 6th April 2010.
