We're winners - SME Auditor of the year

This year will be a memorable one for uplifting national events. The Queens Diamond Jubilee was a great celebration and many are looking forward to a great London Olympic Games. We also have our own reason to celebrate as we’ve been crowned Auditor of the Year for SME’s at the recent FD’s Excellence Awards.

The Awards celebrate the work of FDs and supporting firms in financial management, including auditors, who contribute to the success of British business and sustainable growth. The awards were hosted by Real Business and held in association with the ICAEW and supported by the CBI.

What makes this award particularly important to us here at Haines Watts is that the award was voted for by more than 1,000 Finance Directors and key finance decision makers in our target SME market of £2m-£50m turnover companies. It’s this type of award that matters because it’s voted for by real business people not some academic panel of experts.

The respondents were asked to rate their auditor on service; value for money; ability to flag up risks; and quality of audit partners. Haines Watts emerged with the highest score from the survey beating some of our main competitors from Crowe Clark Whitehall, Grant Thornton, PKF and RSM Tenon Group.
