Michael is the Managing Partner and driving force behind the current success of Haines Watts' founding office here in Slough and is responsible for overseeing Haines Watts expansion in and around the M25 region.
Michael joined Haines Watts in 1991 as a trainee and became a Partner in 1999. He now manages the Slough practice but still handles a substantial portfolio. He specialises in, and is passionate about, advising owner managers with turnovers from £1 million to £20 million. Whatever sector the owner is operating in, companies of this size tend to have similar needs and challenges. They want to structure their affairs as tax efficiently as possible, to mitigate tax when extracting value from the business and to structure their personal affairs in a way that protects the wealth they have amassed.
His values, and those which his clients value most, are that he challenges them on their business, he provides commercial options, is empathic to their individual needs and presents and delivers advice in a very pragmatic way. Being an owner manager himself, his advice extends beyond financial input and he supports the owner in managing the business through it‘s various cycles. The majority of owners do not have any formal management training and in many cases have ‘come off the tools’ to develop their businesses. This advice is underpinned by a ‘practical’ MBA completed at Cranfield School of Management.
Michael was voted on to the Haines Watts Group Board in April 2008 and is now influencing the strategic direction of the firm nationally.

Jane joined the Slough office of Haines Watts in September 2008 before becoming a full Partner in April 2010.
Prior to joining HW, Jane ran a large family practice in the west country with her father-in-law specialising in providing a full range of accounting and advisory services to local owner-managed businesses and the small corporate sector in Cornwall and west Devon. Her reasons for moving were hastened due to her husband's relocation to take up a corporate directorship in the Thames Valley with one of the area's most prestigious residential development and construction companies.
She relishes the challenge of bringing her very personal 'hands on' style to a widely diverse client.
