Paul is the Senior Partner at the Preston office, and became a partner in 1992.
Building on his wealth of experience, he specialises in accounting, auditing and management and works closely with his clients in advising them in all aspects of their business. Paul’s strength lies in working with owner managed businesses to develop their business skills, and to help them grow their business and to succeed.
Paul has worked with many of his clients for a number of years and many of them have been with him since they started in business, a fact he is very proud of. He acts for a wide range of companies in a variety of sectors and has a specialism dealing with Sportsmen and Entertainers.

Gillian has been with the practice for over 14 years and became a partner at the Preston office in 2008.
She specialises in advising clients in all aspects of technical tax planning for a broad range of situations, and has helped a number of clients sell their businesses over the years, advising on the taxation aspects of a sale taking place.
In addition Gillian also works closely with her own clients in helping them get the most out of their business, and is very proud of the long and trusted relationships she has built up with many clients over the years. She works closely to help clients understand the complexities of tax and the accounting world and explains issues in clear terms which are easy to relate to.
She also heads up the small business department in Preston, in particular advising new business start ups and providing those clients with the personal support and attention they require when they enter the business world.

Michelle has been with the practice since 1998. As a qualified tax adviser Michelle provides technical tax planning advice to the clients of the Preston office.
Michelle possesses a wide range of experience covering all aspects of tax relating to owner-managed businesses and high net worth individuals including personal and corporate planning, capital gains and inheritance tax planning, employee tax issues and remuneration planning.

Mark Tunstall is the Managing Director at HW Technology.

After graduating at Bradford University in Maths and Statistics, Mark worked in local industry and practice. Having joined HW in 2000, he qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 2004 passing all his exams at the first attempt and recently gained fellowship. Mark has predominantly worked in audit and company accounts from semi senior level to now being manager, responsible for the audit and accounts team at the Preston office.
Mark's areas of expertise is in audit, groups, accounting advice and disclosures, as well as online company secretarial and Sage. Over the years Mark has overseen the audit of various group clients and is developing strong communication lines with HW clients, providing advice and assistance on a range of issues.
He is a committed team player and loves to work with others to achieve deadlines. He has a passion for football and lives with the fact he was born a Blackburn Rovers supporter! He attempts to attend the local gym at least three times a week and spend time with his baby son, step daughter and new wife whom he met at HW!

Anita has worked for Haines Watts for over 27 years. She joined the company straight from school and has gained extensive knowledge during her time here.
Anita mainly deals with sole traders, partnerships & small limited companies. She prepares the accounts and also provides bookkeeping, VAT & payroll services. She has helped many new businesses set up their bookkeeping systems, tailoring them to meet their specific needs.

Mary has been with the practice for over 38 years she helped set up the original business with Geoff Demack in 1972. She has worked on most aspects of the business over the years, including preparation of accounts, book-keeping and PAYE and has a lot of experience in assisting and advising clients in many ways including credit control and various debt collection methods. During this time Mary has also been responsible for the group credit control for 15 offices throughout the UK. Her present role is overseeing the management of the Practice in Leyland, including dealing with the day to day administration and liaising with clients regarding various matters.
In her spare time Mary enjoys travelling, reading and swimming.
