Electricians Beware - HMRC have a new initiative....

by Haines Watts Norwich on 6 December 2011

Are you an Electrician?

HMRC are continuing its campaign to target trades people. This time it’s the turn of the Electrician.

My advice, if you are an electrician and think you have unpaid tax contact us immediately. The HMRC definition of ‘electrician’ is broad being defined as ‘anyone who installs, maintains and tests electrical systems, equipment and appliances under stringent safety regulations’, if you fall in to this category and are concerned about tax then please contact us.

The electrician’s tax safe plan (ETSP) begins in February 2012, The Tax Safe Plan has already generated 1.98 million pounds, and HMRC are keen to continue with this successful initiative!

If you haven’t already signed up then consider Fee Protection Insurance before HMRC come calling! Email us for further info.
