Miles joined Haines Watts in 2007 having previously been managing director of the fund management team of Partnership Investment Finance (PIF), funding growing businesses in the Yorkshire region not able to achieve required funding from conventional sources.

Miles qualified with a big four firm in Sheffield then spent eight years with Leeds-based NatWest Ventures before joining a client company as Finance Director. Following a successful exit of that company, he held a number of FD roles with companies active in acquisitions and disposals, including an investment vehicle for a wealthy family, prior to joining PIF in 2004.

Although there are some tentative indications of economic recovery in the UK, there is no doubt that the downturn is still presenting extreme challenges for many businesses in terms of their ongoing financing requirements.
