Simon Laskey qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1995 and as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1998. He had previously managed his own accountancy practice in Kettering until he joined the Haines Watts Group in 2008 to open the Huntingdon office. He has a wide range of accountancy and taxation experience gained while working in public practice for twenty years, ranging from the preparation of accounts from incomplete records, carrying out the statutory audit for numerous limited liability and public limited companies and specialising for several years specifically in the field of taxation. Simon works closely with individuals and businesses seeking tax efficient solutions to pre-defined business objectives, in addition to managing a growing portfolio of compliance focused advice such as year end accounts preparation and taxation compliance matters. Simon's role is the continual improvement and management of business relationships, ensuring that the best possible advice is being provided to our clients whether it is a routine enquiry or an ongoing specialist project.

Carly joined the Huntingdon office as an Accounts Senior in July 2010. She has worked in public practice for 12 years and qualified as a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians ( AAT) in 2001 before going on to qualify as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2004. Carly’s role is the preparation of financial statements for small to medium sized businesses and dealing with the related tax compliance requirements for those clients. She also assists Simon Laskey with administrative matters and the normal day to day demands of a small local office. Carly currently works on a part-time basis on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
