High Wycombe accountant’s award-winning eye for accuracy

Tom Duncan, of the High Wycombe office of Haines Watts Chartered Accountants, recently won the National Indoor Archery Championships.

Tom, who has been competing for several years, beat several members of the GB team to win the event, showing a strong recovery after a qualifying round that left him ranked 30th!

Tom explains, “I think my accountancy eye for accuracy came in handy at the Championships because in the single arrow shoot-off in one match I won by less than a centimetre when the arrows were measured to determine the closest to the centre!”

We’re always looking to save clients every single penny, so Tom’s eye for detail is useful! Tom’s next major challenge is qualifying for the World Field Championships in August 2012, so we wish him the very best of luck in that!”
