Jennifer Toulson (ACA) - Managing Partner
Jennifer qualified in 1988 and became Managing Partner in May 2000.
Jennifer has a wide knowledge of business in the area, both north and south of the Humber, enabling her to provide pro-active strategic business and tax planning advice to the firm's expanding client base.
Mark Cousins (ACA) - Partner
Mark joined Haines Watts in 1995, having studied at Waltham Toll Bar and the University of Humberside in Hull, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999.
Mark specialises in Limited Company work and has a large portfolio of audit and non-audit clients. In addition to dealing with compliance work as required, he also works closely with his clients in an advisory capacity.
Mark Stothard (ACA) - Partner
Mark was educated at Vale of Ancholme School, Brigg' John Leggott College, Scunthorpe and the University of Liverpool. He joined Haines Watts in 1999 and qualified through the firm's structured training programme.
Mark has developed close working relationships with his varied portfolio of owner managed businesses, providing help and assistance on all business, accounting and taxation issues.
John Blenkinsop (FCA) - Partner
John attended the London School of Economics before joining Spicer and Pegler ( now Deloittes) in their Nottingham office in 1974, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1978. He was a partner in a local practice that merged with Haines Watts in 2008 to increase the coverage in the Humber area.
John has worked in a number of firms gaining wide experience in general practice of taxation, accountancy and audit matters. He has been involved with the local business sector for many years having been based in South Yorkshire/ North Lincolnshire since 1983.
David Maultby (ACA, ATII) - Tax Partner
David specialises in direct tax advice to owner managed businesses.
He joined the company in 1991 as tax manager and was then appointed to Tax Partner in 1996.
David provides high value tax advice to his clients and excellent service to help them achieve their financial objectives. He has been involved in a significant number of multi million pound company sale and acquisition deals.
Nolan Gooch (CTA) - Tax Manager
Nolan qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2001 and spent 11 years working for a Big 4 firm of accountants in Hull before joining Haines Watts in Grimsby.
Nolan deals with all aspects of corporate and personal tax compliance and works proactively with clients to help structure and plan their affairs in a tax efficient manner.
Mike Wilford (MCIM) - Business Development Manager
Mike worked originally in professional practice with Armitage & Norton (KPMG) and then in industry, most recently as regional accountant with McLarens Toplis Loss Adjusters, before joining Haines Watts in 2001.
Mike is responsible for marketing and business development for Haines Watts Yorkshire & Humber offices and has successfully completed the Professional Diploma in Marketing.
Stefan Palenski (Dip PFS CFP) - Financial Services consultant
Stefan heads up HW Financial Services Ltd in Yorkshire and Humber, previously having working as a senior consultant at Yorkshire Investment Group.
HW Financial Services Ltd offers independent financial planning advice to our clients and can provide you with a financial plan appropriate to your needs. Examples of services offered include: pension advice, tax planning, investment planning, life assurance, mortgages and partnership/key personnel insurance.

David Hatfield (FCA) - Consultant
David worked as Senior Partner in the practice until 2005, when his role became that of consultant. He specialises in the agricultural and retail sector, and is a member of professional review panels working with the client base.
