Meet the team...
Simon Clarke - Partner
Simon joined Haines Watts in August 2008 opening the new office in Great Yarmouth two months later. Simon qualified as an accountant in 1998 and became a Fellow in 2004.
He has worked with small and medium businesses advising them on tax and accountancy matters for over 20 years
Simon lives locally and is married with two young sons. In his spare time he is a primary school governer, and a coach in his sons U8 football team.
Paul Sumpter - Partner
Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1972 and then went to work for Deloittes in their Paris office. After three years in the profession he moved into industry as Financial Director of the European Arm of a Major US Medical company. He moved back to the UK in 1984 to start his own accountancy practice and joined with Haines Watts in 2002.
Paul is really motivated by assisting the owners of small to medium businesses realsie their own goals and to strengthen this undertook a two year course at the University of East Anglia where he obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in 1997. He is also a member of the Institute of Management Consultants.
Matthew Neale - Partner
Matthew has been a partner with the firm for four years specialising in management accounts and provision of the firms auditing service.
Matthew qualified in 2001 and enjoys riding his motorbike in competitions when time permits!
Amanda Clarke - Administration / Marketing
Amanda joined Haines Watts Great Yarmouth office as an administrator in September 2008. She has worked in several customer facing roles previously and is married with two young sons Ryan and Logan.
Donna Roberts - Administration / Marketing
Donna joined the team as a trainee accountant in October 2008.
She lives locally and is married to Mark with two young daughters.
Sandy Prior - Marketing / Administration
Ian Dawson - Assistant Accountant
Ian is an trainee accountant studying for his ACCA professional exams. He joined us from college in May and is involved in all aspects of the business.
He is also a semi professional football player for local team Kirkley and Pakefield FC, although his choice of team to follow isnt quite as good as his playing ability.
