Meeting Clients Needs?.....
by eastanglia on 14 March 2012
A poll, reported in Accountancy Age, of over 1,000 self employed professionals concluded that most accountants do not meet their needs. The once a year visit to the accountant does not provide the correct information to enable the busy professional to assess the business, the opportunities, risks and liabilities. A more pro-active service is wanted dealing with tax, cash flows, profits.
At Haines Watts in East Anglia we completely agree with these findings. The old fashioned approach to dealing with clients does not provide them with the right information at the right time. Though it is essential to know what the tax bill will be it is much better to be in a position to control the tax bill in advance by being aware of the opportunities that exist and to be able to plan the future of the business.
As part of our commitment to our clients we provide a regular e-zine, newsletters and news alerts. We also contact clients when there are changes in statutory requirements, HMRC campaigns that may affect them or their business and tax compliance updates.
With offices located throughout the region and the UK, we are always eager to meet and discuss any concerns or issues our clients have. As owner-managed practices we are well aware of the challenges faced by small businesses today, and well placed to guide and advise on those issues, if there is time in the busy schedules of these sole traders to meet with us!

You will probably wish to contact them to let them know of your decision; we will of course behave
in a professional manner during handover and make contact once you confirm it is ok to do so.
